The Beehive Inn,Edinburgh

I was in Edinburgh once again last night. A really last minute/short notice slot popped up at the Beehive Inn. I struggled to get my material together for this one and I think it showed. I started off well, trying out some new material, but I ended up getting a bit lost when trying to mix it into something I’d used before. The audience laughed in the right places though… and they did laugh! So it wasn’t a disaster, just didn’t run as smoothly as it has in the past.

It was a tiny room we were performing in, but it was full up. Completely different look and feel to the places I’ve performed in so far. But I think I liked it. It would be good to work on some specific audience-involving jokes and utilize them there.

The other comedians performing there were all really good. Especially a guy called Daniel Webster. Keep an eye out for him! The compeer Mikey Adams was really good too.

In other news, The Bruce Clap blogs are back in action. Dave and I are trying to stay ahead of ourselves and make sure there is a new blog every Wednesday as promised. The myspace page is in operation again and some of the oldskool clap fans have returned and are enjoying the new blogs. We’re hoping to regain and maintain everyone’s interest in Bruce in preparation for the film. Speaking of the film, we’re nearly ready to get going. Props have even started to be bought! It’s crazy to think that Dave and I started all this as a means of amusing ourselves and now someone has enough faith in us to throw some money at it and make a movie!
Anyway! I’m off to play the new UFC game. I knocked Chuck Liddell out in 34 seconds today! Mental!
